Still can’t get enough of the just concluded runway shows at the Top 4 fashion capitals of the world? We’re sure you want more. Before you grab that bag to go shopping, check out this list of 10 of the trendiest pieces you ought to invest in this Spring.“People will stare. Make it worth their while,” American jeweler, Harry Winston, used to say. Turn people’s heads around, keep them staring, and make sure that you’re happy, confident and comfortable in the looks that you’re sporting. Here are your top 10 fashion for spring:
One of the most classic pieces of clothing in women’s fashion that can be worn countless ways and easy for anybody to wear has seen a major resurrection on the runway when it made one of the top looks at Miu Miu. No less than Gigi Hadid is showing us how to wear a khaki, button-down shirt this Spring — that is, with a high-waist, girdle bikini bottom. Cute! Across other runways like Sonia Rykiel, wraparound khaki dresses, khaki blazers and jumpsuit pants were also a smashing hit.
They just go together: khaki and safari. It was then so natural to see soft fabrics with ethnic prints and worn with ethnic accessories grace the runways. The best safari themed show we’ve seen will have to be Ralph Lauren. All the pieces in the collection were cool, laid back, easy and yet so elegantly chic and simple. Simple trick: don’t forget to wear the ethnic jewelry.
You read that right — even the accessories. Gucci has come up with beautiful platform shoes that are really meant to be works of art. Fendi also made handsome bags with embroidered floral details. The embroidered pieces of clothing we fell in love with are those from Tadashi Shojo, and we are also loving the embroidered creations of Naeem Khan, and of course, Alexander McQueen.
Spring is pulsating with so much vibrant energy. If you know your new MAC Cosmetics palette, Work It Out, those are the kinds of bright colors you should wear this season. Most of all, we loved the Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection, DKNY and Delpozo runways. Our take on the bright colors: pinks and oranges are the way to go.
This is a variation of the bright colors dominating this season, and we’ve seen these sewn into magical pieces of casual clothing on the runways of Elie Saab and Rodarte. The pieces we love most are the electric pleated pieces and the straigh dress pieces in shimmery hues of powder blue and sea green. These are definitely a happy edition to women’s fashion this spring.
These two will have to be the most versatile pieces to own this season. Wear these on their own or, as an alternative to your blazers, coats and cardigans. You just got to see how beautifully an ankle-length kimono was worn at the Diane von Furstenberg show.
Imagine a spring without flowers. Impossible! Floral dresses are almost always a must-have piece whenever the season turns into spring. This season, get you florals with arm cut sleeves, ruffles and extra hem layers. Pay attention to the fabric. Get only one that sways with your body.
That’s right, so 50’s, and this classic is back. Wear them to the beach or pair with kimonos or button-down shirts to the streets. 50’s is a colorful era so don’t forget to incorporate that through your beach bag, sunglasses, and scarf on your head.
The classic resort look is striped whites and blues, which will remain big this spring but, it is the red and white stripes that will attract the most attention. See Lacoste and Altuzarra for more inspiration.
